Cranfield University at Kitakyushu represents Cranfield University (UK) in Japan. It was established in April 2001 and is located at the Kitakyushu Science and Research Park(KSRP), an innovative university complex that promotes research and development collaboration between industry and academia, and education through cooperation.
Since its inception, Cranfield University at Kitakyushu has worked to develop collaborative projects with universities, industries and public institutions in Japan. Strong collaborative links have been forged with the Japanese universities on the Kitakyushu Science and Research Park, especially with Kitakyushu University, Kyushu Institute of Technology Graduate School of Life Science and Systems Engineering and Waseda University Graduate School of Information, Production and Systems. In recognition of the importance of these collaborative links, Cranfield University at Kitakyushu has a management structure based on a steering committee with members derived from our key Japanese university partners from KSRP, Kitakyushu City New Industry and Academia Department and FAIS.
